Midge life cycle

midge larva

The fly pattern here is of a midge in its larva stage. Try this pattern both with and without the xs silver rib and you'll have success. When fishing this fly I like to try a couple of presentations. First I will drop it from a rubber leg or some other heavily weighted fly to make sure it's skippin off the rocks. The other way is to fish this with a couple of split shots rather than the rubber leg but the goal with the split shots is to have the fly float slightly off the bottom. Good luck and be sure to send us picture of the fish this pattern catches you.

Material needed-
